THE MATILDA CHAIR

Financial Peace University & The "Matilda Chair"

Chad and Matilda
Pastor Chad and Matilda

On Sunday, June 3rd, Pastor Chad began a wonderful time of worship by sharing a bit of Matilda's story. Matilda was a faithful member of Chad's first congregation in inner-city Philadelphia and as a life-time tither, Matilda taught Chad the value of being a generous giver.

Coming to Prince of Peace September 18

We all need a plan for our money.  Financial Peace University (FPU)
is that plan! It teaches God's ways of handling money. Through video teaching, class discussions and interactive small group activities, FPU presents biblical, practical steps to get from where you are to where you've dreamed you could be. This plan will show you how to get rid of debt, manage your money, spend and save wisely, and much more!

FPU classes will meet for around an hour and fifteen minutes each week in the CLC for nine weeks.  For more information and quick and easy discounted registration, go to this link :  http://www.daveramsey.com/fpu/locations/org/45133/class/231322

PRINCE OF PEACE ONE READ
LOve Does Book

Maybe you have heard of city and state-wide "one read" programs, where everyone in an area reads the same book and then participates in a discussion.  Well, Prince of Peace is doing that this summer!  We will read Bob Goff's "Love Does" and than get together to discuss it.

The first discussion group will be held on June 23rd at 9 am.  We will discuss chapters 1-10

The second discussion will be on July 21st at 9 am to discuss chapters 11-21

The final discussion will be on August 25 and we wrap it up by discussing chapter 22 - the Epilogue.

 Read the book.

Join the conversation.

There are some copies of the book in the office to purchase.

HOLY MOMENTS
We continue to be blessed here at Prince of Peace with meaningful and inspirational worship experiences week in and week out. I am so grateful to be hearing more and more stories of members inviting friends, family members and even co-workers to attend worship with us.  It takes a big, team effort to help create the atmosphere for engaging worship to thrive and our gifted staff and volunteers continue to do an excellent job.

Click here for a couple items we would like to offer to help make sure we continue to create the best possible atmosphere in worship for all who come to hear and experience the Good News of the gospel.
