Let's Have a Kiki, Broadway Style

www.bidpal.net/waldorf

Your support has been amazing.  We are overjoyed in saying there will be 210 attendees on March 15, where you will feast your eyes on the most exceptional silent auction offering our school has ever put together (in terms of value and variety).  Additionally, the live auction is spectacular, heartfelt, and exciting and includes many things that can't be bought elsewhere, along with 2 community items enlisting group participation.  Plus, we have two live auction items with starting bids of $40 or less.

No one does a party like Isis Design!  This is not your teenagers Kiki, and it's not your Mama's broadway either.  Come prepared for FUN and please thank the team at Isis Design who donates most of what they do in support of our community!

It's broken record time...

--The silent auction has so much value in it, the attendees can't possibly buy all these things on their own.  Especially if you are unable to go, hop on-line and place a bid on something.  It's genuinely helping, even if you don't end up with the item.

--Share the link with a shopper you know.

--Use this opportunity to pick up something you're going to buy anyway.  Restaurant gift cards, your next haircut, clothing, socks, wine, a birthday present, Mother's Day gift, Father's Day gift...This way WSOC benefits from your shopping!

We will be accepting proxy bids for Live Auction items.  A list of live auction items is to come or view the website.   If you're not attending, but you'd like to get in on this action, contact Denise Ogawa, dogawa@waldorfschool.com.

The best way to see everything is on the event website.  THANKS AND KIKI UP!

Community Raffle

The raffle winners will be drawn at the Kiki Fundraiser, but you do not have to be present to win.  Two wonderful groups of creative collaborators have dreamed up and delivered 2 beautiful raffle items.  They are being shown in front of the school at most drop-offs, and are also on display in the main office.  Get your tickets under "Fixed Price Items" at bidpal.net/waldorf.

Items #2 is the most gorgeous blanket you've ever seen.  It's inspired and created with love and great care by an especially talented team.  We love them as much as we adore this blanket!

Learn more about both of these items at bidpal.net/waldorf.  Choose "Shop." Then scroll to the bottom for "Fixed Price Items".

 Loving Aftercare!

There is a young man named Max living in Orange County, who has cancer and is trying to achieve a world record of the longest rainbow loom chain.  Hearing of this, Tiesha our aftercare supervisor, presented the idea to the students in helping Max realize his dream with their help...they accepted the challenge!

Tiesha presented this chain of love to Max, along with a beautiful card on March 1st.  We are pleaed to announce that Max has currently 5.5 miles in length.

 Grade 12 Play & Adventures

The seniors performed their play, Some Like It Hot, to a packed house two nights in a row. Great job, 12th grade and a special thanks to Mrs. Barnard and the 12th grade parents. Thank you to everyone who attended for supporting the high school and the Class of 2014!

They are currently adventuring on their senior trip in Switzerland and Italy. Congratulations, seniors! As of this week, 100% of our 12th graders have been accepted to a 4 year college or university!

Grade 11 Practicum & Sports Camp

The 11th graders spent the week before February break at work! Instead of attending school, the students participated in a week-long practicum. They did research, completed training, went to court, filed documents, tested product, played with kids, played music, made spreadsheets, ordered lunch in Spanish, observed meetings, and did food prep in a restaurant. Stephanie Burritt comments of the experience, "It solidified my interest in the field of music therapy because I got to witness how music can help someone directly in the moment."

The 11th grade would like to thank their hosts!

Keir thanks Michael Penn of Aitken & Aitken & Cohn (personal injury law firm)

Maisie thanks Massimo Navaretta of Onotria (restaurant)

Stephanie  thanks Ian Wilkerson of Bay Area Music Therapy

Maya thanks Wende Zomnir of Urban Decay (cosmetics)

Sports Camp was amazing

The 11th Grade would like to thank all the kids for coming.

We hope you had as much fun as we did getting to know you and playing sports together! They will be hosting another Sports Camp over Spring Recess.  Dates to be announced soon.
