Geology rocks! The 9th grade went on a week-long geology field trip to Death Valley and Mammoth Lakes with Ms. Boric and Mr. Shifa to complete their geology block. They hiked mountains, canyons, volcanoes, and badlands; tasted the salty, alkaline water of Mono Lake; and viewed waterfalls and glacial lakes. Students were left with a new understanding of California's amazing history.

Bienvenidos y Hasta Luego

Two weeks ago our 10th grade students and their families each welcomed and hosted an exchange student from Mexicali, Mexico.  The students from Mexicali came to school each day and enjoyed a calendar full of afternoon and evening activities with their new 10th Grade buddies.  In March the WSOC students will visit their new friends for a week in Mexico.  We loved having them here and our students look forward to the new adventure to come!

Uschi Friebauer-Fond Memories
Uschi touched many lives in our community. Please share with her family your fondest recollections, anecdotes, pictures, thoughts, artwork, poems, ... anything to show Wolfgang, Lukas, and Paula-Sophia how much love for Uschi lives in our entire community.

Here's how you can contribute:

  • Pick up a blank memory book page in the school office or use your own (standard 12x12" scrapbooking page).
  • Write, draw, glue in photos, ... and please include your family name.
  • Drop off in the school office or give to Andrea Hubert by the end of November 8th.

We will assemble all offerings into a memory book to be given to the family.

Thank you for caring and contributing!
