MOVE-A-THON
Friday, June 7
For Grades 1 - 8
(High School is Event Staff)
It's time for our Grades 1 - 8 students to be gathering pledges for their participation in the Move-a-thon. It promises to be a really fun day filled with physical fitness challenges orchestrated by 12th grade and supported by the entire high school student body. Get ready kids, they have some exciting new tasks in store for you...
This is our students' opportunity to collaborate in a philanthropic effort for their school and to celebrate the year end with a bang.
Grades 1 - 8 gather pledges for their participation. Grades 9 - 12 gather pledges for their leadership.
Your child should have come home with a manila envelope 2 weeks ago containing information on the event, including how to generate pledges. If you need a replacement, just come see us in the front office.
Many students are having great success encouraging their out-of-town friends and family to pledge on-line.
Use the template of the email note attached, adding your own personal details, and directing supporters to www.waldorfschool.com where they will click on the Move-a-Thon link. Your out-of-towners can pledge to support a specific student very easily following the simple instructions. When we receive an on-line pledge, you receive notification from us so your child will know to include it on their pledge sheet.
Classes with 100% participation win prizes for their class.
Students with $150 or more in pledges are entered into a raffle for some great movement prizes: basketballs, summer fun kits, skateboards, scooters and more.
No need to order a t-shirt for your child. We've already done it and it's free.

DRIVING FOR THE FUTURE
THANKS TO ALL THE GOLFERS, SHOPPERS, DANCERS, VOLUNTEERS AND SPONSORS!
We had a great day in support of the school and had a blast doing it. Although the numbers are still coming in, preliminary figures show we raised in the neighborhood of $39,000.
Thank you again to our sponsors for the incredible support. See you again on the green next year!
Go Team Cigna!
The 2013 Ford Flex LE looks great on the green. Many came so close, but no one got to drive this beauty home.
A thousand thanks to Isis Design for making us look so good and for giving us a space to get our dancing on (not pictured!).
