Please Welcome A New Family:
The Turley Family in Ms. Catherine
Our neighbors and new friends from Wilson Elementary School
Autumn Festival
Thank you to all the Kindergarten parents for creating an amazingly delightful Autumn Festival.  Our Pre-K and Kindergarten students enjoyed a beautiful celebration of fall that was pure joy and a feast for the eyes, with pumpkins and autumn surprises everywhere.  We were fortunate enough to share the autumn magic with our neighbors and new friends from Miss Nancy's class at Wilson Elementary School.  They students enjoyed every bit of the festival from making the tiny wooden mice, to the apple peeling machine, the beaded necklaces, the apple prints, and especially the obstacle course and jumping into the huge pile of leaves.

Thank you to all the people who provided pumpkins and decor, and to all the volunteers for making it so special for them and all of our students.  Sara Rodelo and Peter Norgaard, thank you for your leadership in creating something exquisite and well-managed.  We are very grateful!

The Daily Pilot published a few photos of our friends from Wilson Elementary enjoying the festival Click here to read Daily Pilot!

See y'all there!

4 school days and counting to be included in the drawing for the reserved parking space.  The lucky winner will be drawn on Nov. 9 at 8:45 at Company of Angels.  Gifts or pledges need to be received by Nov. 8 at 4:30 pm to be included.

You should have received a letter with a gift envelope in the mail.  We have more envelopes in the office.   Making your gift on-line is really simple. www.waldorfschool.com/annual

We cannot thank you enough for the support.  We are 3 weeks into the campaign and have reached 18% participation from the parent body overall.  Those gifts, in combination with gifts from faculty, staff, alumni, and other outside supporters have already reached a total of approximately $35,000.

To see how your classes are doing on participation, Click here!

Last year 4 classes reached 100% participation.  They were Miss Barbara's Pre-K class and Grades 9, 10, and 11.  As always, we are striving for 100% participation school wide.

Special Friends Day

Friday, November 16

9:30 - Noon

You should have received an invitation via email last week to forward to your loved ones to RSVP for the event.

Or you may simply let them know to register for the event at waldorfschool.com/grandparents.

If you are coming, you should register too.

We request that each household  complete the very simple on-line registration, so we have a solid idea of who will be attending.

Please note performances are by Grades 1 - 12.

This is an early dismissal day for all at noon.  Aftercare will be available as usual.

ScripThe Scrip Store is OPEN!

Scrip Tip of the week:

CONGRATULATIONS to our growing number of families who have bought enough scrip (or their extended family, friends, neighbors & co-workers did!) to meet the $275 scrip profit point!

This translates to three benefits:

  1. They have SAVED $275...the will NOT receive an invoice for next year's scrip deposit...they already earned it! AND
  2. They are contributing to their class bank account with EACH scrip purchase now! AND
  3. They are contributing to the Operating Budget, helping to bridge the gap between tuition & their student's {rich} curriculum!
Which classes are these GIVING families in?

Grade 1, Ms. Christiane: Three families! WOW!

Grade 2, Ms. Brooke: One family!

Grade 3, Ms. Andrea: Three families! WOW!

Grade 4, Mr. Bennett: Two families!

Grade 5, Ms. Beka: One family!

Grade 6, Ms. Kimberly: Two families!

Grade 7, Mrs. Whiteley: One family!

10th Grade: One family!

11th Grade: One family!

All of these families know who they are...they have been notified. We commend their consistent 'thinking scrip' for everyday purchases of gas & groceries, home improvement projects, vacations & employee/sales gifts.

Where does YOUR family stand? Please come to The Scrip Store next Monday, November 5th for your confidential family report envelope for the 1st quarter (August, September & October). These reports will NOT be mailed & will be held until you pick them up.

An easy way to boost your family scrip purchases:

Invite your guests at Grandparents & Special Friends Day on Friday, November 16th to buy scrip! We will be happy to have their scrip order ready if they go online to order. They may pay for it online or upon pickup in The Scrip Store. Please note: that Friday (Nov 16) is the last day to buy scrip before our week off for Thanksgiving~many of us gather with family & friends for a {BIG!} meal ~ what groceries will you need? Also, Black Friday is Friday, November 23rd--it will be Bargain City at most merchants & we stock many of these gift cards. You might as well earn scrip credit as you save!

This week's testimonial:

"I LOVE scrip! Every two weeks I place an order online and pick it up the next morning. I am in and out of the office in less than 5 minutes. This system helps me to stay on budget for my groceries, gas, and even Starbucks! Now that I use it, I can't imagine not using it! I am glad that I am able to help give money back to the school just by doing my everyday shopping.
-"Mel Mattey, mother of Ethan, Ms. Andrea's Grade 3."
Thank you Mel for your support!
