JOIN US FOR AN OLD-TIME COMMUNITY CONTRA DANCE!
Thursday, Nov. 1
6:30 - 8:30 PM
This is a whole family event!
We are so excited to offer our community this opportunity to come together and enjoy a fun evening of music and movement.
Here are some additional details about the event:
· Families with young children are welcome to attend with the understanding that parents need to supervise their own children.
· Families with younger children should arrive early (6:30) to begin dancing at 6:45pm. The first 45 minute dance set of the evening will include circle dances for all ages and partner dances that younger dancers will be able to do when partnered with an adult.
· The second 45 minute set, starting at 7:30, will be for students ages 10+ and adults.
· We are very fortunate to have music provided by the experienced folk dance musicians of Atlantic Crossing Band.
· The dances will be led by Donna Burgess who has been teaching folk dancing in Waldorf Schools for 25 years.
· The eleventh grade will provide beverages and light refreshments during the break.
