Business Fitness Webinar Series

Essential Planning for Business Succession
Webinar October 8, from 2-3:00 pm
Presented by Wyoming Entrepreneur SBDC, MRC & PTAC

Laramie, WY. September 2015. Thinking about the future of your business when you retire? One question that every small business owner will need to ask themselves someday is, "What will happen to my business when I leave or retire?" Everyone leaves their business at some point - planned or unplanned. Succession planning can be especially complicated in family businesses, due to the relationships and emotions involved and because most people are not comfortable discussing topics such as aging, death, and their financial affairs with others. Other issues of concern include business worth, future management, and retirement income. In many cases, the majority of an entrepreneur's estate is trapped inside their business.  This webinar will help you understand and manage these issues, assisting with a smooth transition between you and the future owners of your company.

Join us online, Thursday, October 8 from 2-3:00 pm to get informed about succession planning from Marty Oblasser, a respected business and estate planning attorney. Marty is a partner with Wyoming's oldest law firm, Corthell and King, P.C. Her practice focuses on building estate plans for business owners to successfully transition their businesses. Marty will cover the "Why, How, and When" of a business succession plan.

Fee for this program is $15. To register and pay online, visit our website at http://www.WyEn.biz. Reasonable accommodations for persons with disabilities will be made, if requested at least 2 weeks in advance. For further information, call (307) 382-0947.

Wyoming Entrepreneur is a business advising group consisting of the Wyoming Small Business Development Center, Procurement Technical Assistance Center, and Market Research Center. Our mission is to help Wyoming entrepreneurs succeed. Advising and most market research services are free of charge to Wyoming residents. The SBDC is funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration. Additional support is provided by the Wyoming Business Council, and the University of Wyoming. For more information, visit our website, http://www.WyEn.biz or call 800-348-5194.
