Exec Bits:

After a year's worth of planning, Rendezvous Royale has arrived!

Cody High Style, Boot Scoot'N Boogie, the Buffalo Bill Art Show and Sale and the Patron's Ball at the Buffalo Bill Center of the West offer art, fashion and museum enthusiasts, visitors and residents alike a chance to enjoy one of the best weeks of the year in Cody.

A big thanks to the hundreds of volunteers and everyone in the community who help make this such a great event.

The Chamber staff has been working tirelessly to make sure that Cody High Style and the Buffalo Bill Art Show and Sale go off without a hitch next week.

If you haven't purchased your tickets to the Fashion Show on Wednesday, Sept. 17 (two shows, 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.) or to the Quick Draw on Saturday, Sept. 20 please stop by the Chamber.

You can find a list of events at www.rendezvousroyale.org.

Business After Hours are back!

On October 2 from 5-7 p.m., Blair Hotels will host a "Champagne and Mistletoe" After Hours at the Holiday Inn.

On October 17, Accents Floral will also host an After Hours at 6 p.m. at their new location - 1330 Beck Avenue. They will also have a ribbon cutting that evening.

Thank you to these members for hosting next month! If you want to get have a BAH, please contact us!

With the snow this week, it's time to start thinking about the upcoming winter season. For snowmobilers it means the first chance to go into Yellowstone without a guide.

A permit is still required, and there is a lottery in place now through October 3 at recreation.gov to obtain a non-commercial guided permit to go into the Park through the East Gate. After the lottery, any remaining or cancelled permits will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Find more information HERE.

The Chamber hopes that this program will be a popular option for locals and visitors leading to additional winter access and business.

In October all members will receive our annual survey. Please take the time to respond. While we have made a number of positive changes to our programs, events and marketing opportunities, we still have a lot of work to do on behalf of you, our members. This survey will help us during our annual staff and board retreats as we make the Chamber work harder for you.

As we move into fall, be on the lookout for information about Halloween and of course our push to encourage people to "Keep it in Cody" during the Christmas season.

I hope to see you at many of the events this week!

Thank you for being a Chamber member.

Cody Firearms Experience

The Wyoming Firearms Experience (WFE) indoor firearms range is starting in a new direction!  It has secured an option for the Tecumseh Trading Post property at 140 W. Yellowstone Ave.

They will be approaching the City Council and Planning and Zoning over the next few weeks to secure a Special Exemption Permit for the indoor range.  The WFE will focus on tourism in the summer, hunters in the fall and local shooters during the winter.

They hope to compliment current businesses and will work to promote combined packages.  They will be a full service range offering the opportunity to shoot historical and modern day firearms, promote firearms training, and provide a place for local shooters to practice indoors.  Annual memberships as well as hourly lane rentals will be available.

For more information contact General Manager Paul Brock at [email protected]. Website is still in the works! 140 W. Yellowstone Ave., 307-899-7719
