Exec Bits.
Welcome to this mid-March version of Exec Bits.
Be sure to join us for a great Business After Hours tonight from 5-7 p.m. at The Irma hosted by Big Horn Radio Network. BAH's are always an excellent opportunity to meet new colleagues and reconnect with friends.
Speaking of events, don't forget the St. Patrick's Day Parade at 4 p.m. downtown tomorrow with the Caledonian Pipe & Drum Corps from Billings, and the traditional Pub Crawl from 5-9 p.m.
If you haven't gotten your tickets yet, there is still time to join us for the 114th annual Chamber Founders' Day Banquet at the Holiday Inn. The evening starts at 6 p.m. and includes awards and recognition for the businesses and individuals who made a big difference in our community this year. Tickets are $40 and the theme for the evening is a Picture of the Past.
With so many events happening in Cody, we're hosting an "all hands on deck" events meeting from 8-11 a.m. in the Cody Club room on March 26. This forum will provide those in Cody who organize events a chance to meet others so we can work more closely.
We'll start a collision calendar, talk about how we can better combine resources and efforts - especially around Christmas - and learn about all of the different events that happen on an annual basis. Whether you organize events or provide business services to event planners, this is a good chance to network as well. Please RSVP to Tia Brown (events@codychamber.org) if you plan to attend.
Click on the photo below (or this link) to view our most recent "Business Spotlight" segment, featuring Absaroka Bicycles. Thank you to Rick and Bryce for participating. If you want to be featured, please contact me here at the Chamber. It's a great way to let fellow members know what's new in your business.
Finally, don't forget our special Cody Club THIS Monday, March 17 at noon featuring Rick Howe, Director of Visitor Services at the Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce. Rick is passionate about business promotion and customer service. I know you'll find his presentation to be insightful!
I hope to see many of you at the Founders' Day Banquet on Thursday. Thank you for being a Cody Chamber member!
Sincerely,
Scott Balyo Executive Director

Community Events Forum - March 26
Cody is blessed to have a tremendous number of events throughout the year. As a chamber, we're heavily invested in events including the Buffalo Bill Art Show and Sale, Cody High Style and Spring Into Yellowstone among others. On March 26th from 8 a.m. - 11 a.m. we're hosting an Events Forum in the Cody Club room to give everyone in town who is involved in putting on events an opportunity to meet in order to work more closely together. Please attend this open forum if you manage an event(s), volunteer for an event or are thinking of starting a new event. We'll give groups a chance to talk about their events, create a community-wide "collision calendar", create a master communication list for important event emails and discuss how to work better together - especially at busy times such as Christmas. The Chamber will provide coffee/donuts, so please plan to attend and spread the word about this important meeting as we work to complement each other better and maximize our event communication and partnerships. Please RSVP to Tia Brown (events@codychamber.org) or 587-2777 by March 21 and forward this email as needed to as many people as possible in the community.
