The Cody Chamber's Marketing Council has recently approved a new winter promotion/giveaway to drive business in February and March. TV ads will run on KTVQ in Billings and on Big Horn Radio Network throughout the Basin touting Cody as a great place to have fun and stay in the winter.

We're also giving away $500 in Cody Buck to one lucky winner who enters on our website. You can view the ad here: http://youtu.be/oyxkug86MYk. (Yes, locals are eligible to win, but our goal is to have someone from outside Cody win and come spending a day/night here.)

Mark your calendar now for our Founders Day Fiesta, which will be held Thursday, March 21st at Olive Glenn from 6-9 p.m. We're trying something a little new for our annual member event and award evening. Instead of a formal banquet, it will be reception style with great food, a cash bar, live music, awards, a giveaway and a great chance to network with fellow Cody Chamber members and recognize those who have done so much for our community. Be on the lookout for your formal invitation and RSVP.

Over the past couple of newsletters you've been introduced to our new board president, Luke Anderson, and gotten to see some of our important stats from the past year. I would like to continue that trend by introducing the LARGE number of volunteers who make all of our committees happen.

The Chamber has four active committees including the Chamber Ambassadors (welcome new businesses to town and volunteer at many Chamber and community events), Buffalo Bill Art Show and Sale (a large annual fundraiser for both the Chamber and Buffalo Bill Center of the West), Cody Marketing Council (work to promote local Cody events) and the Government Affairs Committee (dedicated to advocating for our small business on local, regional and national legislative issues, especially those effecting national parks and public lands).

These committees don't happen without the dedicated service of the following people, and I want to recognize them for their commitment to the Chamber and the Cody Community.
