Exec Bits
With January in the books, I thought you may find some of our 2012 stats pretty interesting. Because of your membership support, we were able to accomplish the following last year:
Total number of ribbon cuttings for new businesses by the Chamber Ambassadors: 41
Total number of networking events: 5 Business After Hours, 8 c2b's (Cody Business Breakfasts) and 29 Cody Clubs.
Total amount of Cody Bucks sold: $98,030. West Park Hospital was the biggest supporter, buying $59,300 worth of Cody Bucks to give to their employees for Christmas.
Total number of people who came into the visitor center: 49,259
Total number of visitor guides mailed: 182,386
Total number of new members: 64
For 2013, we've got even more planned including a full slate of Business After Hours, starting with our next one at Soaring Peak Liquor and Saloon next Thursday, Feb. 7th from 5-7 p.m.
Our new "Member to Member" discount page is available HERE, so please send your exclusive offers to Liz Stuard (admin@codychamber.org) who will post them for you. Offers can be anything from a percentage discount to "buy one get one" opportunities. Members were sent an I.D. card with their renewals, so just ask them to show it when they want to take advantage of your offer.
If you didn't attend our Cody Club last Monday, you missed an update on Cody's air service, by Yellowstone Regional Airport manager, Bob Hooper. As part of the local marketing efforts by CYAIR, you'll be receiving a fundraising support letter and request to help with local air service. If your business relies on air service or your customers do, please strongly consider supporting this initiative.
Finally, a big congratulations to our two board members who were voted to a second term each - Bev Richard, Coldwell Banker Antlers Realty and Scott Wagner, Buffalo Jump Wines. Also, congratulations to Justin Sanders, Big Horn Federal Savings Bank, who was voted in by the membership as a new board member as well. Thank you to Garrett Growney, Pinnacle Bank for his six years of service to the Cody Country Chamber of Commerce.
