"Notes on a Cellar Book"
Satek Winery sponsors Tibbits comedy
historic Tibbits Opera House

Just up the road, enjoy Tibbits Summer Theatre and Children's Popcorn Theatre, in one of Michigan's oldest opera houses. At 130 years, Tibbits is rich in history and ambiance. Called by USA Today one of "10 great places to see the lights way off Broadway", it's definitely worth the short drive to Coldwater.

Satek Winery is proud to sponsor one of the funniest shows of the Tibbits season, Funny Money, by Ray Cooney.
When mild-mannered CPA Henry accidentally picks up a briefcase full of money, his decision to keep the cash sets off a roller coaster ride of mishaps, twists and surprises. A crazy party, weird friends, misled detectives, a cab driver, a mysterious visitor and a dead body, make for an outrageously funny ride.

Shows times are scheduled for July 26, 27, 28 and August 2, 3, and 4 at 8 pm; matinees are
July 26 and August 1 and 2 pm.

See complete show listings at www.Tibbits.org.

As I am writing the newsletter this month, my mind keeps wandering to my fun weekend plans.  I do have to work, but it actually will feel more like play: Saturday morning, myself and a crew of Satek staffers and volunteers head to Indy to share our love of wine (and our wine itself) at Vintage Indiana.

This year is the 13th annual Vintage Indiana Wine & Food Festival, --June 2, 2012-- in downtown Indianapolis in Military Park. An award-winning festival promoting Indiana wine and food, this is the must-attend wine event of the year!  Here's what makes it so fun:

  • Celebrate with 26 Indiana wineries as they offer samples of more than 200 award-winning wines (First 10,000 receive etched wine glass!)
  • Enjoy delicious food from some of Indiana's top culinary experts
  • Visit the Wine & Food Experience Pavilion for food and wine sessions with chefs and winemakers
  • Tap your foot to Indiana's most popular musicians LIVE throughout the day
  • Browse through the artists' booths
  • Take your kids to the KidZone for some interactive fun
  • Bring your lawnchairs and blankets!

Tickets for this event are just $25 per person at the gate ($22 in advancebigstock toasting glasses online). Vintage Indiana is the best way to experience a tremendous variety of wines without having to travel all over the state to do so. Each winery will also have their wines for sale, and there is a convenient check station so you don't have to carry your purchases with you until you leave.

If you plan to be there, be sure to stop by our booth and say hi!  Click the link below to order your tickets online!
