May is one of my favorite months.  It's full of anticipation, with Spring in full bloom and the glimpse of the summer lake season off in the not-so-far distance.  The warmer weather here at the winery means we pull out the picnic tables, put up the tents, and groom the landscaping in preparation for our patrons' "al fresco" enjoyment of our wines.

Speaking of anticipation, this weekend we'll celebrate "Tram-MAY-nette" with the long-awaited release of our Traminette wine!  Last year's Traminette sold out in 33 days, so fans of this locally-grown, semi-dry white wine have been waiting 11 months to get their hands on more of it.  We made a bit more-- 109 cases in total-- but don't wait too long to stop in and get yours (preview tasters voted that it is even better than last year's).  In addition, our winemakers have created new a Dry Traminette wine, which will be released in tandem with the semi-dry Traminette.   Although you often find Traminette made as a sweeter wine, we felt that a dry version brought out the best of the floral and spice notes that the grape is known for.

Our customers have also been awaiting the news of our second annual Spring Spectacular, which will be May 13-15 this year.  Now's the time to stock your wine rack for your summer entertaining as it's the only time all year where we offer substantial savings on seven select wines-- but we keep them a secret until the first day of the event (yes, we're sneaky like that!).  I can at least tell you that these wines will be at least 25% off and as much as 45% off!  (And if you want one more hint, be sure to scroll down to the bottom of the newsletter).
