Idea #2
Cause: The Sick
Project: Sell Lemonade for Alex's Lemonade Stand

I had some help coming up with this challenge from my niece, Sophie (10) who was visiting us. Lemonade stands are always a summer favorite and she thought this sounded like a fun idea that she could do with a couple of her friends.

Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation was started when Alex (4) - a Ripple Kid and cancer patient - decided she wanted to sell lemonade in her front yard to raise money for kids with cancer. Since then, the foundation has engaged thousands of supporters from across the nation to raise money for the cause. Its fun, it's easy and it's a great way to help others this summer! Learn More

Ripple Kids Tip: rather than pricing the lemonade individually, simply ask for a donation in any amount. You'll find you'll make more money, and it simplifies the process! Make sure people know about the cause you're supporting!

Alternative Idea: hold a bake sale to support Share Our Strength's 'No Kid Hungry' campaign, a national effort to end childhood hunger in this country. Learn More
