CSS Now Offering Online Course for
High School and College-Aged Students
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
CSS is offering a distinctive opportunity for students who want to maximize their ability to understand how they learn best.
CSS is seeking NH or VT high school juniors/seniors and freshmen in college to pilot an online course at no cost. Students can also earn credit for the course.
Making the Most of How You Learn Best will guide students through the process of:
- Exploring their own unique learning strengths and weaknesses (including health-related bridges and barriers) and understanding the scientific reason for why people learn differently;
- Distinguishing successes and breakdown points in their lives, to identify when and why they occur, and what to do about it;
- Initiating changes in their approach to tasks which support school success and life-long learning.
The knowledge students gain through this course will help them to be more adaptive so they can work smarter, not harder, across various learning situations.
CSS will be piloting this course with 90 local students, at no cost (January-December 2013), thanks in part to a generous grant from the Byrne Foundation and challenge matching funds. Contact CSS if you know of a student who might be interested in taking the course: Email Leslie Williamson at
lesliewilliamson11@gmail.com. Once the pilot is complete, the course will be available for a fee to
any interested student.
