We recently had our 100th educator join the Eureka Champions Network. The network is an opportunity for educators to share their experiences with Eureka Math and provide invaluable insight to other educators.

Curriculum Reform About Quality, not Cost
"[W]e have to start taking curriculum seriously as a reform lever," Senior Fellow Robert Pondiscio writes in the Thomas B. Fordham Institute's newsletter, the Gadfly. Remarking on a new report from the Center for American Progress, which found that curriculum cost and quality do not correlate, Pondiscio adds that curriculum reform should be taken, "at least as seriously as teacher quality, chartering, and other pet reform ideas, none of which have the demonstrated upside of simply choosing curriculum wisely and implementing it well." Click here to read more.
Champion in the Spotlight: Laura Jacobsma
New to our Eureka Champions Network, Laura Jacobsma, a K-6 instructional coach for Oakridge Public Schools in Oregon, recently detailed her district's experiences in its inaugural year implementing Eureka Math. "By about January, my students felt really confident ... which was really exciting," Jacobsma says. "By April, 90 percent of my students passed the Oregon State Assessment, compared to the district average of about 60 percent." Click here to read more from Laura and other Eureka Champions.
