At Eureka we see results. They begin with our materials and methods. We see them in student work and understanding. They are continually supported by dedicated teachers and educators.

Teaching Fractions on the Number Line
"I applaud the CCSS for introducing number lines and fractions in third grade. I believe it will instill in children an important idea: Fractions are numbers," writes Tom Loveless, a Senior Fellow at the Brookings Institute, in EducationNext. In Eureka, we share this emphasis, teaching fractions on the number line in Grade 3. "That foundational understanding will aid them as they work with more abstract representations of fractions in later grades. Fractions are a monumental barrier for kids who struggle with math, so the significance of this contribution should not be underestimated."
What Do You See When You Look at This Student's Work?
Grade 2 Eureka Math writer Lisa Watts-Lawton sees "a student who draws and labels models to reason abstractly and quantitatively about the relationships in the problem; who attends to precision in modeling and solving the equation." Watts-Lawton's
blog post "Problem Solving the RDW Way," analyzes a piece of student work from her classroom in the Los Angeles Unified School District. This student is problem solving using the Read, Draw, Write method (RDW), a systematic approach that is a hallmark of Eureka.
