Dear ARZA Canada Members:

ARZA Canada Week November 8-16

For the fourth year we are designating a week of Israel engagement activity across Canada as  ARZA Canada Week.  The idea is to focus on the smaller and medium size congregations and provide them with a dynamic speaker about the Reform Movement in Israel.

This year we are fortunate to have two wonderful guests from Israel:

Yael Karrie is a senior rabbinical student in the Israeli program at Hebrew Union College and serves as the spiritual leader of the Reform Community of Sha'ar Ha Negev. During the crises in Israel this past summer, Yael played a pivotal role in coordinating the relief activities of the Israel Reform Movement. Yael represents the new generation of Israeli born Reform leaders who have helped the IMPJ grow to over 50 communities throughout Israel.

David Bernstein is the Director of Development and Overseas Relations for the Reform Movement in Israel. David has been an active lay leader of the Movement and is past president of Kihlat Birkat Shalom at Kibbutz Gezer. He has an extensive senior fundraising management background with the Jewish Agency for Israel.
