The YWCA Week Without Violence, October 13-17, is a signature initiative created by YWCA USA nearly 20 years ago to mobilize people in communities across the U.S. to take action against all forms of violence, wherever it occurs. Each day focuses on a different aspect of violence:
  • Monday, 10/13: Sexual Assault
  • Tuesday, 10/14: Racial Profiling and Hate Crimes
  • Wednesday, 10/15: Domestic Violence
  • Thursday, 10/16: Economic Violence
  • Friday, 10/17: Immigration-Related Violence

The National Center is a proud supporter of the NO MORE campaign.

High-Tech Fashion That Saves Lives and Benefits NCDSV; Pre-order by Nov. 20

The National Center is partnering with Secure Courture, LLC, a technology startup with the mission to empower women by increasing their control over their personal security.  This month Stiletto launched the most advanced personal security wearable ever made.

NCDSV's Debby Tucker says about Stiletto, "Secure, Stylish and Smart!  I am so very pleased with how well Stiletto works and looks.  I know I'll be glad to wear one.  The National Center is so appreciative of the dogged determination and creativity that our partners Alexander and Daniel Gladstone, have put into making this product both effective and attractive."

Stiletto is available for pre-order in an Indiegogo campaign through November 20 to generate the needed funds to go into production, when a percentage of the profits will benefit the National Center.  Now, for every "like" on the Stiletto by Secure Couture Facebook page, Daniel has pledged to donate $1.00 to NCDSV!
