The National Center is proud to be a part of  NO MORE, and we think you should get involved too.
NO MORE is a simple idea with the power to unleash new, major attention to the numbers of people all around us who are hurt ~ directly or indirectly ~ by domestic violence and sexual assault every day, every minute. We all know people who have been touched by this violence, but still, domestic violence and sexual assault remain hidden and misunderstood.  it's time to change that.  It's time to say NO MORE.

Lots of NO MORE resources are available, including a toolkit that can easily be customized with your own organization's logo.  Please continue to spread the word among your networks about NO MORE and integrate the symbol into your current programs.

Registration is now open for the fifth Establishing Expertise as an Ethical Expert Witness Conference, January 14-16, 2013, in Austin, TX.

After decades of effective advocacy, policy changes, and direct service provision, myths about violence against women and victim blaming persist and impact the effectiveness of the criminal justice system's response to victims and survivors. Research indicates that advocates and law enforcement offers are effective expert witnesses, and that they and court personnel can affect change regarding the perceptions of these crimes. This conference aims to address that gap by providing training to increase the use of expert testimony in domestic violence cases.

The presenters are comprised of advocates, attorneys, practitioners, and researchers. The conference is a collaboration of the National Center on Domestic and Sexual ViolenceThe University of Texas at Austin, School of Law, School of Social Work and the Institute on Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault

Early registration is $300.  After December 13, it is $325.

Register online.

Give $14 in Honor of the National Center's Work and 14th Anniversary

The National Center is celebrating its 14th Anniversary this month ~ weDDT_photo opened our office in October 1998.  We contribute to the movement to end violence against women and all forms of domestic and sexual violence through consulting, training and advocacy.

It was an extremely difficult year and we very much need your assistance now to be able to continue providing the level of services we have for the past 14 years.  We urge you to make a financial contribution so we're in good shape for our 15th year of service.  A donation of just $14.00, or more, from you and all our friends will make such a big difference for the coming year.  Thank you for your consideration!
