Submit Your Progress for a Chance to Win!

Troop leaders, have you completed everything on the Quarter 1 Honor Troop Application yet? Remember, the deadline is January 15, 2014. If your troop is missing one requirement on the Q1 Application, you will still be able to earn Honor Troop for 2014 by completing a make-up requirement. You may still submit your Q1 Application and be eligible to win a troop party in your region - just list "Makeup Option" on your Q1 Application to indicate that you plan on making up that requirement. Contact your Regional Office with any questions.

Note: if you do not submit the Q1 Application, you will still be eligible to earn Honor Troop in 2014 - but turn in the Q1 Application to earn a troop party!

Nominations are open!

Girl Scouts of Kansas Heartland values all volunteers and recognizes the contributions they make in developing girl leaders. The annual volunteer recognition program is an opportunity for girls, parents, and service units to spotlight the amazing work that volunteers are doing in your community! Nominations are due by February 1, 2014 Any girl, troop, parent, or volunteer can submit a nomination. Get started here!

Get ready for the 2014 Cookie Program!

Troops must place their initial cookie order in SNAP  by January 15th, so that the girls will have cookies on hand when the sale begins on February 8.  Please refer to the information and directions you received at your cookie training, but don't hesitate to contact a Product Sales Staff Member with questions. Your Service Unit Product Sales Organizers are also available to help you!

To participate in the Booth Sales Lottery, Troops must enter their Booth Sales requests by Monday, January 13. The Lottery will run on January 14. Please refer to the Troop Manager Guide (pages 14 - 15 and 26 - 28). The Booth Sales Guide gives further instructions on conducting Booth Sales.

If you missed Cookie Training in December, there are a few make-up sessions this week (link to schedule on website). You can also contact a Product Sales Staff member for Cookie Training information.
