Committee Opportunity

Nominations are still open for passionate and committed Girl Scout members willing to take an active role in shaping Girl Scouting in Kansas.

The Teen Advisory Committee (TAC) will include Senior and Ambassador Girl Scouts who provide girl voices and ideas for programs and policies. Girls will make presentations to younger girls about opportunities in Girl Scouting, and learn how to be positive representatives of the Girl Scouts of Kansas Heartland everywhere they go! Stand out!

The Volunteer Advisory Committee (VAC) will share input to shape volunteer guidelines and resources, volunteer events, and training. Volunteers will trouble-shoot and problem-solve so that volunteer support services can be designed around volunteer needs. Speak up!

Find the details and application here.

Recognize a Volunteer

Volunteer award nominations are officially open for volunteer service during the 2012-13 Girl Scout year!  Any girl, troop, parent, or volunteer can submit a nomination.  Nominations are reviewed by a council-wide committee, and award recipients are honored at an appreciation event in the spring.  It's time to start thinking about how to recognize the amazing women and men who make Girl Scouting possible across Kansas!

Incentive for Troops

You've heard the buzz about Honor Troop, right? Honor Troop is a year-round program for troops to complete, but we've added a special incentive for troops that start checking off requirements by January 15. Fill out the Quarter 1 Application by January 15, and your troop can win a pizza or ice cream party. One troop per region will be selected in a drawing at the end of January.
