GIRL SCOUTING IN ACTION
Leadership Conferences: ToGetHerThere

This fall, GSKH is hosting a number of leadership conferences with specially designed workshops for both adult volunteers and older girls!

On September 28, girls and adults came together at the Wichita Area Technical College to dive into leadership! Attendees heard from special guest speaker Miss Kansas Teresa Vail, and had a chance to reflect upon what it means to be a leader - in Girl Scouts, in the community, and in the world!

Don't miss the upcoming Leadership Conferences! Volunteers and girls are welcome to attend any Leadership Conference of your choice!

Salina - November 9

Parsons - November 16

Garden City - November 16

COUNCIL BRIEFS
Regional Teams to Serve You Better

Fall is a busy time for Girl Scouts -forming new troops, earning funds through the Fall Opportunity Sale, and planning ahead for the troop year! When you need assistance, do you know where to find your service unit and staff contact information? Check out the council map and regional office contact information.

Each regional office, including Emporia, Garden City, Hays, Salina, and our Wichita head-quarters, is equipped with a team of passionate staff members working together to serve Girl Scouts in your area. Your regional team will assist with registering girls and adults, finding the right volunteer positions for members, promoting Girl Scouting in the community, and coordinating product sales. We look forward to a successful 2014 Girl Scout year in every region!

ON YOUR CALENDAR
Write it down!

Don't forget to celebrate with all your sister Girl Scouts on October 31, Juliette Gordon Low's Birthday (Founder's Day). "Daisy" Low was born on October 31, 1860, in Savannah, Georgia. Legend says that she stood on her head every year on her birthday to prove that she still could do it. Can you?
