Fall Opportunity Sale (FOS)
FOS starts this Friday, September 27! It's not too late to sign up to participate, but don't delay. Contact your FOS Service Unit Manager or a Product Sales Staff Member at 888-472-3683 for further information about how to participate.
Did you know that FOS is a fun and easy way for troops to earn funds for troop activities? Troops earn 20% in Troop Proceeds, plus girls earn cool recognition items. Click here for further information.
The NEW Girl Scout Year begins 10-1-2013
Perhaps you've already seen one or two (or a hundred) reminders from us about your Girl Scout registration, but now is definitely the time to submit registration for yourself and members of your troop or group! The 2014 Girl Scout year begins on October 1, so please make sure to get signed up!
Click here to use the online registration system. Parents can register all family members with one family account, and Troop Leaders can also re-register troop members, as well as view troop member information. Need paper registration forms? Not a problem - find and print 2014 registration forms on the website here.
Troop Leaders (01s), if, on October 1, you do not have a current year membership registration and current volunteer application (within the last 3 years) submitted, you will not have online access to manage the troop until those are completed, and you have been reappointed as an 01 for 2014.

And, don't forget that shops are open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the following Saturdays: October 5, November 2, and December 14!
Interested in Teaching First Aid and CPR?
Instructor Certification in Hays
We are looking for a few new First Aid and CPR trainers in Central and Western Kansas! There is a First Aid and CPR instructor certification course scheduled for October 19 in Hays.
This course provides you with the skills needed to train others in First-Aid and CPR. At the conclusion of this full-day course you will be certified as an instructor by the National Safety Council. Participants are asked to commit to facilitating First-Aid and CPR courses for the Girl Scouts of Kansas Heartland for a two-year term.
Do you know someone who would make a great First Aid and CPR instructor - perhaps a parent in your troop, or an older sibling of a Girl Scout interested in a health career? This would be a great opportunity to bring a new volunteer into Girl Scouts!
