GSKH Annual Meeting
Thanks for being a voice
A big thank you to the 106 volunteers from across the council who participated as voting members in our Annual Meeting on April 6! We used a videoconferencing set-up, for the third year in a row, which allows volunteers to participate in the annual meeting without traveling across the state. The slate of nominations from the board development committee was elected, with no nominations received from the floor. Please join us in welcoming the newly elected leaders:
Chairman: Arnold Hudspeth
Treasurer: Mary Legge
Secretary: Terri Schmitz
Members-At-Large: Jamie Blackwell, Martha Brewer, Barbara Davis, Nathanial Foreman, Abi Griffin, Sommer Keplar, Carolyn Peterson, and Susan Swift
Board Development Committee: Paula Fried, Ph.D., and Sommer Keplar
If you have any feedback on the Volunteer Breakfast or Annual Meeting, please send your comments to Jennifer Amrein.

Online Registration
Membership is just a few clicks away
Parents and Troop Leaders both can complete Girl Scout Membership registration ONLINE. To use the new system for the first time, anyone who has ever been a registered Girl Scout through GSKH, or the parent of a registered Girl Scout, must ACTIVATE their account through the online system. Only those who have never been entered into the GSKH system need to choose CREATE ACCOUNT.
Troop Leaders: when registering any new troop members online, please continue to collect a paper registration form with a parent/guardian signature for new girl registrations, and an adult's own signature for new adult registrations. Indicate on the form that the registration has been submitted online. These forms can be turned in to your closest GSKH office or mailed directly to the Wichita Girl Scout Center. Remember, the online registration system gives troop leaders quick and easy access to their troop roster, and also allows for simple payment using a credit or debit card. If you have questions, contact your MVP specialist or our online registration Help Desk.

Special Learning Opportunity
Interested in environmental education?
KACEE, the Kansas Association for Conservation and Environmental Education is hosting a Facilitator workshop on June 25-26 in Winfield. The KACEE Facilitator workshop will train and support new workshop facilitators to use KACEE resources, including Projects WET, WILD, and WILD Aquatic, which are designed to contribute to the environmental literacy of future leaders.
KACEE is looking for individuals representing organizations, like the Girl Scouts, which have an interest in or ongoing need to train volunteers and community partners to use conservation and environmental education activities. This could be a great match for a Girl Scout volunteer! Find the details on www.kacee.org. KACEE's application deadline is April 23.
