Good Turn for Goodwill

Giving back in 2013

is a fun community service project open to all the girls of Girl Scouts of Kansas Heartland Council.  This event allows the girls to give back to their community by collecting material donations for Goodwill stores in their area. Register online from now until March 29 at www.kansasgirlscouts.org. Girls can be registered as individuals, or you can sign up a troop, but girls must be pre-registered in order to receive the patch.

Click to read details about registration, collection, tally sheets, and additional contact information.

Bring a Friend!

Add a Friend and Get a Patch in 2013

What's more fun than Girl Scouts? NOTHING! But bringing in just one more friend to join gives you double the fun! Girls who bring a friend to join Girl Scouts between now and June 30 will receive the Add A Friend patch (see patch right).

Then, they and their friend have the opportunity to participate in all of the fun Girl Scout activities together! Complete the top portion of the form and then give it to your friend's family and ask them to complete it today.

Patches will be mailed or given to you when the form is mailed or brought to the council office. Click here for form.

Finance Reminder

All troop & group accounts need two signers

A big thank you to all the volunteers who track and safeguard the funds that girls earn for Girl Scouting activities! We would like to remind you that each Troop or Group checking account must have a minimum of two volunteer signers, as well as a council-designated signer. All account signers must have a current volunteer application and background check on file. If you have question or concerns about a checking account, please check with your MVP Specialist.
