Bring a Friend!

Add a Friend and Get a Patch in 2012

What's more fun than Girl Scouts? NOTHING! But bringing in just one more friend to join gives you double the fun! Girls who bring a friend to join Girl Scouts between now and June 30 will receive the Add A Friend patch (see patch right).

Then, they and their friend have the opportunity to participate in all of the fun Girl Scout activities together! Complete the top portion of the form and then give it to your friend's family and ask them to complete it today.

Patches will be mailed or given to you when the form is mailed or brought to the council office. Click here for form.

Just for Older Girls

First Aid & CPR and Outdoor Leadership

Girl Scouts in grades 9-12 are now invited to attend First Aid & CPR and Outdoor Leadership sessions with adult volunteers! We are excited to open up these courses for girls and volunteers to work together. Check out the upcoming events to the right. More 2013 options will be scheduled soon!

Finance Reminder

Please submit donations over $25 for official receipt

Volunteers, remember to track any Girl Scout income and expenses carefully. If your troop/group receives donations (at a Cookie Booth, for example) remember that a donation over $25 must be submitted to GSKH so we may send a tax receipt and acknowledgement of the donation. The donation will be turned over to the troop/group who received it. For more details on troop and group finances, check out Volunteer Essentials.

Volunteer Application Process

Please reapply every three years!

For the safety and security of the girls and volunteers we require that all adults complete a GSKH Volunteer Application and criminal background screening when interested in volunteering in direct service roles. At the start of the 2013 membership year, we began rescreening volunteers every three years.

If you are a current volunteer who has been with us three or more years and have not recently re-submitted a GSKH Volunteer Application we will be contacting you to complete this process. If you want to be proactive and get this done before you are contacted, please go online to complete the application.
