Kansas Girl Scouts in the News
Check out this story from KSN News
Nearly 25 years after it was buried, a group of Girl Scouts got together Sunday, Oct. 14, 2012, to open a time capsule they put into the ground as teens. The girls of Troop 502 are now grown up, and they all came together from across the country and even over the internet. Click to read the full story and video clip from KSN. More of their story will be posted to the GSKH website soon!

Focus on: Awards Organizers
Positions available across the council
Do you know about the special awards for Girl Scouts? Juniors are eligible to earn Bronze Awards, Cadettes work towards Silver Awards, and Seniors & Ambassadors can complete their Gold Award, the highest award in Girl Scouting. In order to support these high achieving young women, we are in need of Gold Award Committee Members, Gold Award Mentors, and Take Action & Awards Organizers. Each of these positions has a variable time commitment, and may be a perfect opportunity to recruit a non-Girl Scout adult to work with older girls on a specialized project. Interested? Talk to your MVP Specialist about taking on an award support position. |
