I had the opportunity to spend time with lots of children last week at my family reunion. My nieces and nephews wanted to know how to meditate and "see" spirit, so of course I created a special lesson for them. Their curiosity and playfulness made it so easy for them to learn to find their clairvoyant "center" and meditate. I taught them how to communicate with the plant spirits of the essential oils I call the "genies" in the bottle. They spoke with the spirits of lavender and peppermint who "spoke" with them about how their bodies and emotions stay healthy. They described the colors and feelings so easily in the visualizing exercises I gave them.They felt these spirits were like new "friends" to help them when they felt stressed or sick. They really enjoyed describing their own private "room" in the center of their heads and were excited to find this room as their place to go for focus and peaceful thoughts.  Stay tuned for my next blog entitled "5 Ways to Teach Spirit to Children" later this month. 

As adults, we still have the ability to be just as open, curious and playful as these children; we have just forgotten and become serious.
