A Harmless Pastime? Don't Bet on It
March is National Problem Gambling Awareness Month
For many adults, a trip to Las Vegas or a nearby casino is just a pleasant colored-dice.jpg diversion; however, for as many as 23% of those ages 55 and over, gambling is an addiction that can cost more than just financial losses. Risk factors unique to this population include loneliness, isolation, and physical or mental illness plus cognitive impairment that can interfere with the ability to make sound decisions.
Caregiving
There's an App for That!
Lifeline mobile app keeps caregivers on track

Family caregiving texting-girl-sm.jpg is often challenging and stressful, and it affects 43.5 million people in the United States alone. Philips Lifeline makes this easier by offering mobile technology that streamlines care coordination in a free mobile app for iPhone and Android smartphones.
