Leaving a Loving Legacy
Life review could be the most important gift you give
As you age, you are encouraged to keep your last will and testament Grandmother and granddaughter up-to-date to ensure that your worldly goods are distributed the way you wish after death. As important as financial legacies may be, there is another gift of immeasurable value you can give your loved ones: the gift of self, created through a life review.

Marriage Linked to a Healthier Heart
Research included more than 3.5 million adults

If you celebrated Valentine's Day this year with your spouse, your heart hearts-icon.jpg may be healthier for it. A study conducted by physicians at NYU Langone Medical Center has discovered that people who are married have lower risks of several cardiovascular diseases compared with those who are single, divorced or widowed.

Why Caregivers Are Stressed
Gerontologist encourages support for caregivers and their efforts
RLTV, a cable network and online destination for the 50+ generation, recently published an article featuring Rhonda Montgomery, who chairs the program in applied gerontology at the University of Wisconsin. For 35 years, she has studied family members who care for elderly loved ones; she believes that caregiver stress doesn't result from the responsibility and physical challenges of providing care but rather "the real strain on caregivers is the emotional work that's going on." She also sees the need to help caregivers sustain the work they're doing as "one of the biggest issues in health care."
