Two recognized as 2014 Health Care Heroes
Evansville Courier profiles Deaconess VNA Plus Volunteer and Hospice Medical Director
George Davidson, Hospice volunteer, and Dr. Patrick Flamion, Hospice Medical Director, are included in the Evansville Courier's 2014 Health Care Heroes edition! Mr. Davidson was recognized for his service in visiting with home hospice patients in addition to volunteering for a prison ministry. Read his complete story here.

Dr. Flamion was nominated by a patient in his private practice, which he has maintained while serving as Hospice Medical Director--including the John and Betty Charlier Hospice Center at Deaconess VNA Plus--for more than 20 years. Learn more about Dr. Flamion's nomination here.

Annual recognition program set for November 7
World War II Veterans
Nineteen area World War II Veterans attended SWIRCA's Veterans Day Celebration in 2013.
More than 300 area veterans and their guests are expected to attend SWIRCA & More's annual Veteran's Day Celebration Friday, November 7 beginning at 9:00 a.m.

 

Each year, SWIRCA & More
recognizes the men and women who have served our country with a public event. The event kicks off with a social hour, followed by a vendor fair staffed by agencies and organizations that provide services to Veterans (including Deaconess VNA Plus!) Honorees enjoy a program featuring veteran and memorial groups paying respect to those who fought for our country, followed by a complimentary lunch. The event is free to Veterans and one guest; the fee for additional guests is $7.00 per person. For reservations, please call SWIRCA & More at 812-464-7804 no later than Monday, November 3.
