VNA Plus Benefits from Annual Hockey Jersey Auction

Hospice patient family honors Agency in appreciation of care

In true community spirit, the Evansville Icemen conduct an auction of their

warm-up jerseys at the end of each season and allow that year's sponsor of the team jerseys to choose a not-for-profit agency to receive the proceeds.

This year's jersey sponsor was Napa Quadco Auto Parts. One of their local owners, David Cosby, had a personal experience with the John and Betty Charlier Hospice Center, located with the VNA Plus Evansville office, when his father (David Cosby, Sr.) was admitted as a patient. The Cosby family was so impressed with the care provided that David, Jr. selected VNA Plus as this year's auction recipient...and the Agency netted more than $5,800 from the event!

Many thanks to the Icemen organization, Napa Quadco, the Cosby family and the many spirited fans who bid on the jerseys and helped make this effort so successful!
