Employment Newsletter launches! |
Employment continues to be one of the top concerns for Minnesota Servicemembers.
This newsletter serves to be a way for our state employment-support partners and the Minnesota National Guard to effectively communicate the most relevant employment and entrepreneurship information and opportunities to Servicemembers and their spouses.
In this issue, we'll introduce you to the three-step process which was designed for job-seeking Servicemembers and the employers that want to hire them. Additional resources can always be found at www.BeyondTheYellowRibbon.org.
Your feedback, questions and concerns are always welcome and can be addressed by the Employment Outreach Liaison Staff identified on the left-hand side of the newsletter.

In the spring of 2011, an Interagency Employment Working Group was established to identify resources and a process for Servicemembers to find employment and for employers to find Servicemembers. This employment process was kicked off after 11 professionals traveled to Kuwait in March, 2012, to prepare the 19% of the Minnesota National Guard's 1st Brigade Combat Team that would face unemployment upon their return.
"Veteran Employment Success Stories" will highlight those Servicemembers and others that have benefited from the IEWG's initiatives. Click the banner to read the latest story. |

Local Veteran Employment Representatives |
The Minnesota National Guard, along with the Minnesota WorkForce Centers, are providing job-seeking Servicemembers with local Veteran Employment Representives. These representatives are able to assist with employment needs including interviewing techniques, resume writing and LinkedIn support.
