Kudos to Marc Apter!

Arundel on the Bay neighbor and association board member Marc Apter was awarded the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Drum Major Award yesterday for his pro bono public relations campaign in support of the nation's first Civil Rights Foot Soldiers Memorial in Annapolis.

Marc's involvement in this project was preceded by his work as public relations director for the 20th and 30th Anniversary Marches that commemorated the 1963 March on Washington. He also created the annual Martin Luther King Jr. Prayer Breakfast at St. Mary's College of Maryland and operated a series of race relations study circles that won awards from the International Association of Business Communicators. Marc is a member of the board of directors of the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Committee in Annapolis, Maryland. He is President of Image Power Marketing and Public Relations.

AOTB General Meeting

We will discuss the current status of the property claims brought by several property owners (see the latest issue of The Pier) as well as to cover the very important normal January agenda: Ratification of the budget for FY 2015, to begin July 1, 2014.

See the latest issue of The Pier for the draft budget (both the Special Community Benefit District and the Shore Erosion Control budgets).

Remember, no vote=no money. We need to be sure we have a quorum!
