Election Meeting Tomorrow

Tomorrow's general meeting will include election of officers for the 2012-2013 term that begins on July 1. Here's the lineup:

Marc Apter for Vice President

Heath Nielsen for Treasurer
 
No nominee for Secretary (nominations will be taken from the floor)

David Delia, Dick Peyton, and Lori Strum to fill vacancies on the Board of Directors

A proposed amendment to the AOTB Constitution and By-Laws will be presented for a vote as well. to permit members to participate in a board meeting by telephone. If approved, this proposal will formalize in the Constitution a practice that is already authorized in State law, giving recognition and acceptance to the realities of our modern, technology rich society. The amendment which follows, drafted by Director Mike Lord, will be submitted to the membership for a vote at the June 16 General Meeting (All the text in "4."  below constitutes the proposed amendment).

ARTICLE VII - ELECTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Sec. 6 A quorum for the purpose of conducting business as the Board of Directors shall be four (4). Members of the Board of Directors may participate in a meeting by means of a conference telephone or other communications equipment if all persons participating in the meeting can hear each other at the same time. Participation in a meeting by these means constitutes presence in person at the meeting.

Silent auction bids will begin at 3:30 p.m. with final bids at 5:30 p.m. Direct sales of other items and services will take place during the entire event. Bring your cash or checkbooks!
