Although Berkshire County, MA, is a popular vacation area, it ranks 11th out of 14 Massachusetts counties in health measures.
More than 25 years ago, we selected a magnificent location in Berkshire County, MA, for our second Canyon Ranch Health Resort. Today, Canyon Ranch in Lenox employs over 500 people from the Berkshire community. We happily embrace Berkshire County as our second home. Because we feel such a connection to the Berkshires, we are very proud of the new partnership between Canyon Ranch Institute (CRI) and Berkshire Health Systems (BHS) to bring the CRI Life Enhancement Program to low-income, medically underserved residents of Berkshire County. Berkshire Health Systems is an ideal partner for CRI because of their long-standing dedication to building a strong base of wellness and health improvements in the community. Our original and eternal hope was that Canyon Ranch would be able to reach out to the people who need us, not just the guests who can afford us. Thanks to CRI and BHS, that dream is coming true in the Berkshires.

"The health improvement and participant results that Canyon Ranch Institute has achieved with its partners in other parts of the country are extraordinary. While the CRI Life Enhancement Program is targeted toward some of the neediest members of our community, we expect the knowledge, skills, and experience to influence our overall healthcare delivery and programming as well."

President and CEO, Berkshire Health Systems
"The CRI Life Enhancement Program is a proven model to promote health and wellness that is replicable and sustainable. The leaders of Berkshire Health Systems understand that our nation can have the best science and best systems of care, but if we're not reaching the people who are most in need, then we still need to improve."
