CELEBRATING 10 YEARS - 2002 to 2012
Dear Friend of Canyon Ranch Institute,
Ten years ago, Mel and Enid Zuckerman's vision of improving the health of people in low-income communities took root. In November 2002, the IRS approved Canyon Ranch Institute as a non-profit public charity dedicated to improving health and well-being. Early on, activity was modest as was growth. Then in October 2006, 17th U.S. Surgeon General Richard H. Carmona, M.D., M.P.H., FACS, became President of CRI. Dr. Carmona leads our team of experts in disease prevention, health literacy, integrative health, and eliminating health disparities. Today, CRI is a vigorous, award-winning, and innovative organization with great partners from all sectors of society. We sincerely thank you for your continuing contributions to CRI, including time, spirit, and sharing financial resources to help people in underserved communities become healthier. Please join us in celebrating 10 years of accomplishments and in anticipating the next decade of service!
In Good Health,
Jennifer Cabe, M.A.
Executive Director and Board Member
