Justin Trudeau -
Future Relations with Israel
On October 5th, 2012, Today's CLIC Alert featured an article by Susan Delacourt of the Toronto Star titled:
In the alert, Today's CLIC added the opinion:
"...it is a fact that today, Israel's closest friend and supporter is Canada. Any political candidate, introduced by the lead actor of Little Mosque on the Prairie, is likely going to lessen this precious support."
We received many letters in response to this day's alert, including one, complaining: "I find the comments above most disturbing to those of us in the Jewish community who understand the Trudeau Family legacy to be one of inclusiveness and mutual respect"... " I would strongly urge you to print a retraction on that point of prejudice, and add an apology...".
Today's CLIC responds to this complaint, noting that we merely stated the opinion that the staunch support offered to Israel by Mr. Harper and today's government will likely be lessened by a potential Trudeau-led government, having seen that the launch of his campaign was introduced by the lead actor of Little House on the Prairie. We most certainly are ardent supporters of diversity and welcome dialog with any party whose aim is to further the chance of peace and understanding in today's troubled world. Here, we merely stated a logical opinion regarding the intensity of such support for Israel compared to that enjoyed by the present government.

One more event has led us to believe this statement to be accurate: Recently, Alexandre (Sasha) Trudeau 38, (Justin's younger brother) announced that he is taking a break from globetrotting to act as a senior adviser in his brother Justin's campaign for leader of the Liberal Party.
Just last week CBC Television aired a three-part documentary by brother Alexandre, titled:
The Great New Game
on how the movement of oil is shaping a new world order. CLIC on the title above and it will take you to Part Two of this documentary and hear for yourselves how Mr. Trudeau states that Iran's nuclear program is for defensive purposes only, serving as an effective "deterrent" against Israeli aggression and belligerence.
"While there is no proof that Iran has even made the decision to start a nuclear arms program, Israel's nuclear arsenal will largely out-gun whatever weapons Iran might acquire, but from a vantage point of Iran, it is the one being threatened not the one doing the threatening".

The Great new Game - Part 2, CBC Television, 2012
So again, Today's CLIC feels it necessary to comment that a government run by Justin Trudeau will be less favorable to Israel than the present government, led by Stephen Harper. Can you disagree?
Perhaps Justin Trudeau would like to respond, stating his feelings toward Israel.
