Dear Greetings!,

I had the opportunity to travel last week with my mom. This journey reminded me of many things, but the one I think I will savor the most is that everything has

Dana's Trip

" a day in the sun."  From the fantastic foliage on the hillside to the palaces adorned with glitz and glory.  Everything in its right place will shine.  The question I ask you, do you have that one important piece that will make your room shine?  Or does it get lost in the clutter?  As we approach this season, take the time to reflect on how each room in your house makes you feel.

Do you have a piece that Shines?
In every room, it's important to have one piece that steals the show!  Whether it's a traditional foyer chest with a modern mirror or a painted accent chest in a dining room full of wood furniture.   An unexpected accent makes an interesting focal point and allows the room to stand out and shine.  Many people believe that mixing different finishes and styles is a no-no, but this is just  a myth!  It's diversity in design that takes a room from boring to beautiful.

Curbing Clutter

A TV console provides a great focal point, Mediaand its wood tone adds such warmth. Add to that all of its storage space and you can see why they're a necessity! Look for one with open shelves, closed door cabinets and drawers-it will provide plenty of room for displaying photographs and hiding game controllers and media.

You can also opt for solid end tables with drawers or doors instead of open leg styles. This way, everything you live with and love is within reach.  Clutter-free living room accomplished!

Perfect Dining Spot
Often this time of year, we are faced with clients coming in to purchase a new dining set.  Before you choose the perfect dining set you must first consider the shape of the room.  Round tables work best in square rooms as rectangular and oval often work better in long skinny spaces.  Also, you want to make sure that your dining set will adapt to your lifestyle.  Does it need to be glass or will you be extending the table during the holidays to accommodate all your family and friends?  If you are unsure, let us come out and suggest that perfect plan.
