THE PIG'S WINGS
On Poetry & Other Fanciful Means of Flight

APRIL 28, 2016

Since "The Bow Frog" poem, I've been more and more intrigued by ekphrastic poetry opportunities. (For those not familiar, that's a poem written about a work of art.) I think the other side of the game would be take a photograph inspired by the poem. I'll be putting that challenge out in the event below, but first, here's a little "Meditation"...

I'm pleased to announce that my Meditation poem, based on artwork by Elizabeth Darrow, won 2nd place in the
Spank the Carp 2nd Annual Ekphrastic Poetry Challenge. Find the image and poem links here!

Upcoming Event

THIS FRIDAY, May 20th, I'll be reading poems inspired by members of The Flagler Beach Photography Club at Flagler Woman's Club. (You can find more details at the bottom of the latest Pig's Wings post.)

Wishing you peace, love and poetry!

PS Here's my Spank the Carp prize--a cute carp mug. :)

Many thanks to Spank the Carp for a fun opportunity and to Elizabeth Darrow for allowing me to share her inspiring artwork on the blog.
