Honesty? Has to Add Up

Honesty is a quality most speakers want to project. Knowing how to do that, especially when you don't have days, weeks, or years to establish trust, other than the obvious of avoiding a bald-faced lie, confuses many.

Actually, techniques for communicating honesty are abundant, although often subtle, and could easily make several chapters versus a few lines. Still, to help you out, remember this basic piece of advice:

Make sure your words, body language, and facial expressions are all in alignment.

For example, if you are wary as a default setting upon meeting or speaking to new people, they, in turn, will be wary of you.

Integrity - meaning alignment of words, body language, posture, and facial expressions, sends a signal to an audience that you are authentic and real.

Note: Many, no, almost all the comments I make are the direct result of questions my clients ask. Real leaders dealing with real challenges.
