What Are the Odds?....
What are the odds that
- a Dallas colleague I rarely see, Dick Grote, would visit Agra, India,
- and -- find himself invited to the home of a jeweler living there,
- where - by chance, Dick notices on the wall a faded, framed newspaper column from 1985,
- that I penned 29 years ago when I was a Dallas Morning News columnist?
The odds are about the same that
- today, you are changing someone's life for the better,
- since you are capable of inspiring someone you barely know,
- able to lift someone's spirits, and
- are just the voice of encouragement a person in your sphere of influence needs to hear to move forward.
The odds? Well, since it happened, the odds, in hindsight, are clearly 100%.
Just because the evidence is often invisible, know that you are more powerful than you realize. Own it, and make it count.
