Was Quentin Tarantino Right? What's more important, the story or the storyteller? "The story!" Oscar-winning film director Quentin Tarantino blurted during this year's Academy Awards. "The story teller," insisted my Dallas Morning News editors during my newspaper-column days. The better answer is both. A spell-binding story (ex.: Baby Moses floating down the Nile in a basket adopted by an Egyptian princess) can transcend an individual voice, the masterful storyteller elevates ordinary events to create powerful shared cultural experiences.
