Adventures In Spirituality
|
2015 AIS kicks off the week of October 4th
Adventures in Spirituality is a 6 week program which invites an in depth inquiry into one's self using the teachings of a featured book. This program brings book study to a whole new level. Engaging Sunday messages, small home study groups called Sacred Circles, and online community connections culminate with a celebratory social event creating a season for transformation.
The AIS Sacred Circle is a safe and intimate place for exploration, experience and growth. This adventure is designed to inspire self discovery, deepen your spiritual practice and invite honest self-inquiry. You will develop lasting sacred relationships, share insights and personal experiences, re-pattern thinking according to spiritual principles and positive thought.
In preparation for October 4th, please read through Chapter 2 (to page 56) and review the Reading Guide pages 289 through 294.

Break Through Your Threshold Workshop

Sunday, October 18th at 12:30pm in the Meeting Room. Don't miss this popular workshop with Rev. Jai Maa. We all have times where we hit a plateau. Learn how to co-create the life you truly want. We don't have to settle for less. Jai Maa will be signing her book and meditation CDs in the Community Center after the service.

The Sisters of Myrtle Fillmore are taking a Field Trip
|
October 17th to The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art! All women are invited. We will meet in the Village Chapel parking lot at 9:30am and car pool to the museum. We should be back around 1pm. There will be scooters available for anyone who needs one. The tour is free and you can pack a lunch or purchase lunch there.

If your last name begins with the letters A through F, you are invited to bring some finger food to share at Fellowship after the service.
If you'd like to purchase an offiical Unity Village Chapel Name Tag, see Alberta at the end of the CD table after the service in the Community Center.

Unity of Houston visits the Chapel, Sunday, October 25th
We are honored to be joined by visitors from Unity of Houston including Rev. Michael Gott and Rev. Howard Caesar that are attending a retreat on our beautiful grounds at Unity Village.
Trick or Treat Street, Sunday October 25th
Trick or Treat Street will be held in our YFM area after Sunday services on Sunday, Oct. 25th. Children are invited to wear costumes that are fun and imaginative. No scary costumes, please.
Folks are invited to join us for decorating our YFM area on Saturday, Oct. 24, at 6:00 pm. Help with event clean-up on Sunday would be wonderful.

Unity Village's Copy Shop may be a good choice. Why send your project out to Kinkos, UPS, etc. when the Unity Village Copy Center can get it printed for you? They will accept jobs as small as a few pieces up to 5,000 pieces. Some examples of the type of work they'll print includes: Invites and Envelopes, Flyers, Brochures, Rack Cards, or Business Cards. - Name Tag You're It! Sunday Nov. 1st, if your last name begins with G through N you are invited to bring a healthy snack to share at Fellowship.
- Songwriting and Guitar Workshop, Nov 3, 10 and 17th, from 7-10pm in the Clubhouse. Join Steve Epley and Millie Webb for this musical adventure. Love offering gratefully received.
- Fall Fest, Friday November 13th, 6 to 10pm. It's time to celebrate! Bring a dish to share and stay for live auction, music and dancing. There will be fun for the kids upstairs in the YFM classrooms from 7pm to 9pm.
- Gratitude Potluck Fellowship, Sunday November 22nd, kick off the Thanksgiving holiday with your UVC family. Bring a dish to share.
- Christmas Decorating, Saturday November 28th, 9am to noon. Come and help us deck the halls, it's fun and festive.
