Sisters of Myrtle Fillmore monthly meeting: This Saturday, July 19th, all women of UVC are invited at 9am in the Community Center. From 9 to 9:30 is breakfast and fellowship, our Guest Speaker is Shannon Demoss who founded the Non Profit: Blair's Foster Socks. Which is an organization in which people donate clothes, socks, and other necessities to support distressed foster families and children in Kansas City and beyond.  If you are so moved, bring a fun pair of socks or two to donate at this meeting. The Sisters will also be providing the Fellowship refreshments after the service this Sunday. Learn more

 

Sunday Guest Speaker, Dr. Rick Belous: We are in for a treat when Dr. Rick Belous brings us a message about "Spiritual Economics and the 21st Century." Rick is currently our intern and will begin his last year of ministerial school at the Institute. Rev. Erin will be doing the meditation and joining the music team this Sunday. Dr. Belous was named by Rev Donna Johnson, CEO of UWM, to be an Advisor to UWM on philanthropic, social and economic trends, and research issues. He is an Adjunct Professor in Economics at George Washington University, and he is the former Vice President or Research and Chief Economist for the United Way system.

 

Healing Hands: After the service in the lobby of the Activities Center meet with energy healers or add your healing gift. Love Offering gratefully received.

 

Fine Arts Gallery Show Opening: After the Sunday Service, come over to the Community Center Fine Arts Gallery to see a new installation of photography and meet the artists while you enjoy treats provided by the Sisters of Myrtle Fillmore. Learn more

 

Membership Class: Although you missed the first class, please feel free to join us for the second class. We will be showing the DVD: "Charles Fillmore: American Mystic," and taking a brief walking tour of the Village. You must complete all three classes to be inducted as a member.
