Members may submit names of proposed candidates to be considered for nomination to serve as a board director for a term of office to begin in September 2014. Names should be sub mitted to the Nominating Committee on or before April 1, 2014. Submit names to Tina Schwantes at tinas@mtchamber.org, via mail or call 262-512-9358.
Considerations include a demonstrated level of knowledge, support and involvement in the chamber as well as the availability to attend board meetings and fulfill commitments. Per the bylaws, consideration will also be given to achieving a balance of membership categories and business types on the board, such as industrial, retail and professional services.
Directors serve a minimum of a three-year term and are eligible to serve two consecutive three-year terms if actively fulfilling the role of a director. If replacing a vacated unexpired term, a director is eligible to serve an additional two terms after filling the vacant seat. |

The Thiensville-Mequon Lions Club is currently planning its 50th Annual Lionfest held at Thiensville Village Park on June 13, 14, 15, 2014. The Wisconsin Singer/Songwriter Series will present Brother Sun in concert on Saturday, March 8. The concert will take place at the UNITARIAN CHURCH - NORTH, 13800 North Port Washington Road in Mequon - just south of Pioneer Road. Doors open at 7:00 p.m., music begins at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $17 in advance, $10 for students (at all times) or $20 at the door.
