The Local Council of Women and The Bloomington Hospital Foundation will be awarding five scholarships one Cecelia Wahl $2000.00 scholarship and four $1250.00 scholarships to a student pursuing a career in Health Care.

Take a BGCI to Work Day

Wednesday July 13th is Take A BGCI Girl to Work Day. We have 100 teen girls from clubs throughout the city participating in the event. The goal of the event is to match a girl with a professional woman for the afternoon to learn more about her job responsibilities, educational background, overall professional environment expectations, etc etc. 
 
In order to participate, Mentors will need a background check through BGCI (attached) and availability to participate in the event from 11am-4pm on July 13th. Those interested should contact Erin
 
The day will begin with everyone arriving at the Ivy Tech Ballroom, 2820 North Meridian Street, between 11:00 - 11:30.  Mentors will be matched with mentees at 11:30, and have a chance to get to know one another over lunch.  Mentor/Mentee matches will return to the Mentors workplace with from 12:30 - 3:30. At 3:30, Mentors and their mentees will begin to make their way back to the Ballroom for light snacks and a closing session.

The Funders' Collaborative on Youth Organizing (FCYO) seeks a highly-organized, passionate and multi-talented candidate with a commitment to supporting youth-led social justice to fill a new Program Associate (PA) position that will provide support to the organization's expanded programming. The PA will support FCYO's growing communications and funder advocacy work, helping to develop communications and funder advocacy materials, implement a multi-faceted, narrative communications plan, and participate in the development and implementation of FCYO's various funder advocacy and education events.
