It went so well in October 2015, we're going to try and make it a Journey "thing"

The Journey presents the 2017 Youth Worker Symposium on the Sea

The 2015 Journey Youth Worker Symposium on the Sea (SOS) was awesome.  We had 149 Journey fellows, youth workers and their friends and families spend a glorious week together.  There was plenty of circle time, pool time, professional development time and social time.  It went so well-and we think there is enough of a need in the global youth work community for an excuse to recharge and connect-that we are moving forward with the idea of offering up some kind of combination conference/symposium/vacation every other year to youth workers of all kinds and from anywhere in the world.  What do you think?
 
So...we are planning for our next Symposium on the Sea to take place in the fall of 2017.   We want it to include:
--a very reasonably-priced way to get away for some rest, fun and connection with peers
--the option and ease for people to be able to invite and include family and friends
--opportunities for youth workers to growth their network and make new friends from all over
--inspiring and stimulating conversations about issues, opportunities and challenges central to youth work
--plenty of food, drink, sun, water, activities and  relaxation
 
Therefore, we need some feedback from YOU.

We have narrowed down our options between a couple of cruises and a couple of all-inclusives (yes, they are...on the sea).  Of course, we have done our best to choose options that we think are (a) "price-awesome" and (b) likely to result in a "wow" experience
