A Superfly Christmas featuring a Tribute to Curtis Mayfield

This year's concert will be a thought-provoking collection of skits, dance numbers and songs. One skit will deal with the effects of substance abuse around the holidays.

Curtis Mayfield was a prolific musician and he had a distinctive way of blending social commentary with lyrics and melodies to convey optimism when despair was overwhelming.  He was iconic and has been compared to other historical greats who advocated peaceful demonstrations when faced with injustice.
